Mark Goodier Evening Session for Radio One from 1990. An ex‑BBC employee very kindly sent it to me, and I’d almost forgotten we’d recorded it. The song is called “Jumping in the Fire”and was recorded as a three‑piece by Tony Elliot, Tony McGuigan and me. Two other songs that have yet to resurface were also broadcast. The band had officially split up at that point, having been dropped by Arista and left without a penny, so we recorded some old songs from our Angry Young Men days. I really like it, though my memory is of a very stressful journey to Maida Vale with no time to rehearse, but it captures exactly how we sounded as a three‑piece. I hope you enjoy it.
Thanks to the photographers for the photos in the video, I can’t recall who they were, other than the generous Mark Jory, but I appreciate having the memories.
